In short

Recovery & Athletic Enhancement at Longevia is a doctor-supervised programme combining cryotherapy, compression therapy, pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy, red light photobiomodulation, hyperbaric oxygen and IV recovery drips. The protocols are designed for athletes, active adults and post-surgical patients in Hyderabad who need to reduce muscle soreness, cut inflammation, accelerate tissue repair and shorten downtime. Each session runs 30 to 60 minutes and is prescribed after an assessment by a physician.

Who this is for

Three kinds of body, one recovery system.

  • The athlete — runners, cyclists, gym athletes, cricketers, golfers whose training load has outpaced their recovery capacity
  • The post-surgical patient — recovering from cosmetic, orthopaedic or major dental procedures
  • The active adult — weekend warriors, tennis players, dance students, parents running after toddlers
What’s inside

Everything you get — and how it works.

Whole Body Cryotherapy

Two to three minutes in a chamber cooled to −110°C. Triggers a systemic anti-inflammatory response, floods the bloodstream with endorphins and cuts muscle soreness substantially.

Localised Cryotherapy

Targeted cold therapy for a specific joint, muscle or injury site. Suited to tennis elbow, knee inflammation, plantar fasciitis or post-surgical bruising.

Compression Therapy

Pneumatic compression sleeves squeeze the limbs in a controlled pattern to move blood and lymph. Reduces swelling, clears metabolic waste, restores range of motion.

PEMF Therapy

Pulsed electromagnetic fields at cellular-repair frequencies. Improves circulation, reduces pain and accelerates bone and soft-tissue healing.

Red Light Therapy

Red and near-infrared wavelengths stimulate mitochondrial ATP production and reduce inflammatory cytokines. Used for muscle recovery, joint pain and sleep quality.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Increases dissolved oxygen in blood plasma many times over. Accelerates soft tissue and bone healing, reduces post-surgical swelling and promotes angiogenesis.

Athletic Recovery IV Drips

Post-workout formulations with amino acids, glutamine, magnesium, B-vitamins and electrolytes. Restores what you lost faster than any oral protocol.

The protocol

Signature recovery protocols

01

The Post-Workout Reset (90 min)

Whole Body Cryo (3 min) → Compression Therapy (30 min) → Recovery IV Drip (45 min). Best after a hard training day.

02

The Post-Surgery Bounce-Back (4 to 8 weeks)

HBOT (60 min) → Red Light (20 min) → Compression (30 min). Prescribed after cosmetic, orthopaedic or major dental surgery to cut healing time.

03

The Chronic Pain Track (6 to 12 weeks)

PEMF (30 min) → Localised Cryo (10 min) → Red Light (20 min). For long-standing joint pain, back pain and plantar fasciitis. Not a masking treatment — a repair one.

Questions

What patients ask us.

Is cryotherapy safe?

In a clinical setting, yes. The chamber runs at −110°C but you are in it for two to three minutes only, wearing protective gear on hands, feet and face. A clinician stays with you the entire session, and contraindications are screened at consultation.

How soon after surgery can I start HBOT?

Most cosmetic and orthopaedic protocols start HBOT 24 to 72 hours after the procedure — early enough to reduce swelling meaningfully, late enough for initial clotting. Your surgeon and our doctor co-decide the timing.

Will insurance cover this?

In India, most private health insurance does not currently cover recovery or wellness therapies unless prescribed for a specific covered condition. We can provide clinical documentation for any claim you want to attempt.

How is this different from physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is manual — hands, exercises, movement re-education, and it is essential. What we do is metabolic: we speed up the underlying cellular repair. The two are complementary, and many of our post-surgical patients do both in parallel.

I have a specific injury — can you help?

Very likely. Book an assessment and bring any imaging and your treating doctor’s notes. We will tell you honestly whether our therapies can help, and if not, we will not sell you sessions.

Cut your recovery time down. Properly.

Book a recovery assessment. Bring your training load, your injury history and your goal — we will design the stack.
